The Jefferson County Conservation is hosting a Mussels Program at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 10th at the main lodge in Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. Vance Polton, a DNR fisheries technician, will reveal the life cycle of freshwater mussels, help with identification of the various species, and explain their role in the life of a river.
