The Washington County Extension office will be checking gauges for pressure canners on August 10 beginning at 9 a.m. Pressure canner lids with gauges may be dropped off at the Extension office on the Washington County Fairgrounds in Washington during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each test will last approximately an hour. There will be no charge for this service, but requests for tests at other times will cost $5.
