It’s a busy weekend for the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour! The second stop for the weekend is always a delicious favorite, it’s Brighton’s Whoopee Days June 13th – 16th, 2019!
Join us in Brighton for “The Legend of Brighton, the 109th Annual Whoopee Days!
The 109th edition of Whoopee Days will feature a mud run, carnival, parade, and talent show. The annual tradition began in 1910 when it was known as Booster Days. The name changed in 1929, the same year Brighton finished adding pavement to the business district and Highway 1.
Day Carnival tickets are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased at Brighton Locker, Federation Bank in Brighton, Brighton City Hall, or from Brighton Chamber members. The cost is 20 tickets for $15 or an all-day wristband for $25. This year’s celebration will kick off June 13th and runs through June 16th in downtown Brighton.
Don’t forget to visit the Whoopee Days pancake breakfast Saturday morning from 7 am until 9 am at the Brighton Community center, hosted by the Brighton Lions Club. Entrance is a free-will offering and all your favorite breakfast foods will be available!
