As part of Black History month, Washington for Justice is partnering with Jacqueline Arreola, LLC to host a screening of the documentary “13th” at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 27th and 3 p.m. Sunday, February 28th. The screening will be split over the two days and will be followed by discussion via Zoom. The film gives a historical perspective of racial injustice in the United States, as well a focus on the mass incarceration epidemic in the U.S, which overwhelmingly affects the black population, black men in particular.
*This is intended to be a positive learning experience, however, the film does contain content that may be difficult for some to watch. For the post-screening discussion: CLICK HERE for Zoom link.
